Question: My daughter is 10 years old and she was active in competitive figure skating. Recently stopped due to COVID-19 for a month now but was doing off ice jumping, fitness and also started running in order to stay in shape. She complaint about left knee pain since 3 weeks ago. It's on the inside, not sure it is ligament or perhaps the tibia bone. She feels light pain even doing nothing but more pain when the left leg straigtened up and bearing weight. She stoped jumping and running but only light fitness, stretch and some light jogging for the past three weeks. it got a bit better but nothing significant. We have been using some herbal patch and messaging. 2 photos attached where her finger touches the pain area. Hope seek your consultation.

Brief Answer:
Can be mild soft tissue inflammation.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
I have sen the attached image. The pain on the medial side of the knee without any redness or swelling is likely to be due to a mild soft tissue inflammation. Sudden stretching or unstable movement of the knee can cause such a mild soft tissue injury. Rest, avoiding any painful movements and mild pain killers can help her. Massaging will not help much. She can use an elastic brace or knee supports for an extra support to the area.
I hope this answers your query.
In case you have additional questions or doubts, you can forward them to me, and I shall be glad to help you out.
Wishing you good health.
Regards.
