She has been asymptomatic after two days of treatment. Thanks

All the other parameters in her cbc are within the range
Brief Answer:
It is quite common with viral infection.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for the query.
Lymphocytes and monocytes are part of white blood cells(WBC) and most common cause for elevated WBC count is infections.
As a general rule the lymphocyte count is elevated in viral infection and neutrophil count is elevated with bacterial infection. Variations are possible.
In this case the rise in lymphocytes can be attributed to a possibility of viral infection.
Almost always it will be a transient change and will return once the infection settles.
As she is asymptomatic no need for furthers testing is required.
Hope I have answered your query.
Thanks

Thank you Doctor. I can see that her nuetrophils count has been reduced post infection. Is that an indication that she is still fighting an infection.
Brief Answer:
It can be a resolving infection.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
If she is asymptomatic, there is no point in chasing these numbers.
It will take some time to settle the values.
