My Daughter Who Is 33 And Three Months Postpartum. During
Question: My daughter who is 33 and three months postpartum. during the last week of pregnancy shedeveluped hi blood pressure 181/90 and yet baby was a week late and then they induced after 3 days of labor she gave birth to a 9.4 pound baby.
i might add that she was throwing up the duration of the pregnancy. soon after labor she lost over 2 liters of blood and they tried a ballon treatment and it didn't take so the did an embolism. that worked. they keeped her in the hospital for afew days
and i stayed with her 2 weeks postpartum. She was Anemic and blood pressure was still high so they put her on labetalol.after her first visit post partum her anemia was improving and her liver enzymes were slightly elevated. they took her off the medication and had her come back for test 3 weeks later and today her enzymes were highly elevated protein *8.1 Albumin 3.8 alkaline phosphatase 262 AST !24 ALT 261 .1 She is currently nursing her baby and experiencing head aches and stomach pain the only otherv thing i can tell you is my daughter is overweight. please advise

What did the doctor mention as the possible cause for elevated liver enzymes during the immediate postpartum period? Did they mention about HELLP Syndrome?
What was the platelet count and LDH level?
Was test for viral hepatitis done?
