My Daughter Who Is Eight Year Old Has Skin Rashes,dryness,itching On Thighs
Question: Hello. My daughter who is eight year old has skin rashes,dryness,itching on thighs, face and back. Maximum rashes are on thighs. Please advise. Thanks.

Hello ,
Since when does she have these symptoms? Does she have allergies? Is she allergic to any food item? What males this rash worse? How did it start? Does anyone in family has similar symptoms? Are there any other symptoms like fever etc? Any medical history? Any medicine use? If you can upload a photo of the rask it will be helpful
For now she can bi given following treatment:
- Give her wash with mild soaps like Aveeno or Everyuth Naturals lemon and cherry facewas. After bathing apply vaseline on wet skin to retain the moisture
- She should not be drinking hard water. Please provide cleaner water with low TDS
- Avoid allergen
- Syrup cetirizine 2 drops upto twice a day can be used to relieve itching if needed
- Hydrocortisone 1% cream twice a day for 3-4 days on affected area can also be used to relieve itching
Dermatologist will help confirm the diagnosis.
