Question: My doctor prescribed dupashton tablets thirce daily due to bleeding start in sixth month of pregnancy is it safe and how long I take this tablet. I admit for three day due to bleeding in six month now bleeding is ok and take duphaston thirce a day for one week doctor ask.

Yes, it is perfectly safe to take duphaston (Dydrogesterone) during pregnancy. This contains the essential hormone progesterone which is necessary for healthy pregnancy. This is prescribed by your doctor when there is a chance for threatened abortion.

You may continue the medication as per the doctors prescription. Meanwhile, I would suggest you to get complete bed rest. Avoid any travel for a while. Avoid climbing stairs.
Also continue to take the regular folic acid, calcium and iron tablets.

Look out for any signs of increased bleeding, lower abdominal pain etc.
