My Ecg Are Always Found To Be Normal When A

Question: My ecg are always found to be normal when a doctor speaks to me. On this most recent ecg which if you look at my history you can review in the analysis results it says : Abnormal findings for 18-39 male , sinus rythm, possible atrial enlargement [0.25 mV P wave] and non specific T wave abnormality. What significance is this?

I’ve been told by doctors that my left ventricle is enlarged but normal for my age as well. Yet excersice makes me feel ill and I have high BP at age 32 I’ve had it for a while maybe age 27 it was discovered. I’m not overweight , high Bp does moderately run in the family . Is there something doctors are missing or can I live a normal life and excersice and rule it all out to anxiety ?

I passed carefully through your question and would explain that resting ECG is not a specific test to examine the atrial and other cardiac structure dimensions.
In this regard, I would recommend performing a cardiac ultrasound in order to examine better your heart structure and function.
Another important issue is to investigate for other possible causes ( besides family history) underlying your arterial hypertension. For this reason I would recommend performing some tests if you have not already performed them:
- thyroid hormone levels for possible thyroid gland dysfunction
- fasting glucose
- blood lipid profile
- cortisol and aldosterone plasma levels for possible adrenal gland dysfunction
- kidney and liver function tests
- blood electrolytes for possible imbalance
- a Doppler ultrasound of the renal arteries in order to investigate for possible narrowing of these arteries.
You should discuss with your doctor on the above tests.
I would be glad to review your cardiac ultrasound and other tests as soon as you will be able to upload them for a second professional opinion.
Hope you will find this answer helpful!
