Brief Answer:
The chance of brain stroke is very less.

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for posting your query.

I am Dr Sudhir Kumar, Neurologist, and I would try my best to help you.

I have noted your father's clinical details. Based on this, the chance of him having brain brain stroke is very less. In brain stroke, in addition to head spinning, there should be additional symptoms such as slurred speech, double vision, difficulty in swallowing and imbalance while walking. His symptoms are more like to be due to ear involvement, and it would settle down in a few days.

Moreover, he is already using medicines to prevent brain stroke, such as clopitab and aztor.

I hope my answer helps. Please get back if you have any follow up queries or if you require any additional information.

Wishing you good health,

Brief Answer:
Nitrofurantoin does not affect the brain.

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for getting back.

If the symptoms of dizziness persist for more than 5-7 days, following steps are advised:

1. ENT check up. If ENT check up is normal,

2. MRI of brain to exclude brain stroke.
