Question: My father (age 62) had done aortic heart valve surgery (with mechanical Valve) in year 2016, Recently he has a visit to the hospital for Echocardiogram and routine blood testing for Prothrombin time (PT-INR).
I am giving result for Impression: POST AVR & Haematology. Request you to please suggest for further care:
Hematology Results: Prothrombin Time: 37.48 Sec, Control MNPT (13.6), Ratio (2.6), PT-INR Value: 3.31
Clinical Diagnosis: Mitral Valve Sclerotic, Left Ventricle : concentric LVH with fair LV systolic function, RWMA: Jerky Septal Motion.
(EF=50%)
Immpression: POST AVR
Normal function PHV at aortic position., No valvular paravalvular leak., Jerky septal Motion, fair LV systolic function, LVEF=50%
Concentric LVH, other cardiac chambers are normal in size., Sclerotic mitral valve, Trace MR., Mild TR, RVSP-30mmHg+RAP.
Other cardiac valves are structural Normal, No pericardial effusion/Vegetation/Clot or intra cardial masses seen.

Brief Answer:
Hello again
Detailed Answer:
Main focus is the INR value and his INR levels are well within the desired range (2.5-3.5).
Ejection fraction of 50% is also alright for a 62 yrs patients who has underwent valve replacement. EF generally varies in these individuals as per the haemodynamic co diction of the body and level of hydration.
Sclerosis means ageing process, it’s not a disease of any abnormality.
Kind Regards
