Brief Answer:
what is his temperature?

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about what happened to your fiance. While back pain is not uncommon in these circumstances, fever makes it all the more concerning.

This may point to a possible infection, related or totally unrelated to the back pain which for sure needs to be evaluated and managed fully. My advice would be to plan and take him to the hospital for evaluation. If you could also report to me what the temperature is, that would be helpful.

In the interim, tylenol would help for pain and fever while awaiting evaluation and treatment. If he gets any numbness of legs or inability to control bowels or urinate, please treat it as a matter or urgency.

I hope this guides and helps.
I wish you well. Feel free to follow up with me as you please.
