My Friend Seems To Be Experiencing Psychogenic Pain. I'm New

Question: My friend seems to be experiencing psychogenic pain. I'm new to this phrase and its apparently been met with a bit of skepticism, but it seems to be the only likely explanation as to what's bothering her. She's actually dealt with it for years and she has totally run out of patience with the pain she deals with. It really isn't caused by anything and it appears in her neck and back. Is there anything that may help this condition? Anything aside from psychotherapy?

Brief Answer:
Certain medications could help.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for posting your query.

I have noted your friend's symptoms. For relief from psychogenic pain, certain medicines could help. These include dothiepin (dosulepin), amitriptyline, and duloxetine.

Since the pain is chronic (long duration), medicines would be needed for the longterm.

Best wishes,
