Hi,
Agoraphobia is an anxiety disorder. Symptoms of agoraphobia is being fearful or being panic in a situation where it would be difficult to escape. In such type of case, let your friend know that you are there for her listen and have her share what she is feeling. Try to create a friendly environment for her so that she can come to you without feeling ashamed or embarrassed. You can be a support system by going with her to situations where she may feel panic. You can encourage her to face the situations that she would typically avoid and she can rely on you for support or any help when she begins to feel symptoms of distress or panic.
Try to make her understand that she might have renal stone and untreated renal stones even can cause renal failure and eventually lead to death. It is very much important to diagnose and start to treat early such type of case. So, she has to go out for undergoing investigations for treatment purposes.
You can also consult with a professional psychiatrist in this regards and he or she must definitely can help you to make her agree to go out for hospital.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

I guess the real question should have been, should I call an ambulance now, are there any symptoms that I should be looking for.
She knows how irrational she is and yet will still have an anxiety attack and be confident that she will die leaving the house. I'm trying to keep her out of a facility that has proven throughout her life that they are incapable of helping her

Hi,
Thank you for joining again. I can understand your concern. My answer is yes. You should call an ambulance to bring her into hospital, may be forcefully. You also may want to say the severe symptoms of kidney stones which you should be looking for.
Main symptoms of kidney stones is pain which can be felt in the back, lower abdomen and groin areas. It can start as a dull ache and then suddenly turn into sharp and severe pain. This pain can fluctuate as well as can come and go. Its associated symptoms are pain during micturition, blood in urine, nausea or vomiting, fever, urinary urgency, small amount urine, urine flow may be stopped, foul smelling urine etc.
Again, location of kidney stone, size, shape, number like single or multiple etc are very much important for treating kidney stone. Because a single stone less than 5 mm can move through the urinary tract more easily without any medical treatment. But, multiple stones or stone larger than 5 mm can be removed by surgical intervention or other measures.
