Question: My girlfriend of a year has shown signs of HPV for the first time in mid-November. How soon after initial exposure, does one typically show signs of HPV? Is there testing to see if I'm infected?

Usually after sexual exposure about 65% of them develop infection. It may take 3 weeks to 8 months for clinical warts to appear. The infection may be sub clinical without showing any warts.
Up to 90% of HPV infections are cleared on their own in about two years time.
There is no routine test for men to check for HPV infection.
