The risk is very low

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for using Healthcaremagic.

I read your query and understand your concerns.

Although tardive dyskinesia is known side effect of quetiapine but risk is very low. Among the available antipsychotics on the current date quetiapine have second lowest chance of developing TD after clozapine. I understand that risk is there but I am yet to get a single patient after use of quetiapine in decade old practice.

In addition I also like to state that the speech issues is rarely presenting symptom in tardive dyskinesia.

However I like to inform you that tardive dyskinesia is more common among elderly females in compare to young males. The risk is more with negative symptoms and less with those who are diagnosed bipolar disorder/mania.

I hope this answers you.
Feel free to write back to me if you have more questions.
Thanks and regards.
