Question: My girlfriend's vagina smells like feces. I am trying to schedule an appointment with a doctor, but all are booked for several weeks. I am concerned that something serious may be wrong. What should I do?

We have been together for six years, and I believe we are monogamous, at least I know for a fact I have been. Anyhow, during intercourse sometimes I feel something inside or her vagina that is poking my penis. This has only happened during the past week since the fecal smell began. Additionally, I think there is actual feces or a brown discharge on my penis after sex. We have scheduled a doctors appointment at a clinic for tomorrow afternoon for her to have a women's annual exam, and I expressed my concerns about the fecal smell to the person making the appointment. I am not sure what my follow up question really is, other than a concern about this presence of "something" that pokes my penis when I am inside of her, that it is a new thing, and that it correlates with the timing of the fecal smell, and appearance. I can't imagine what could cause a rectovaginal fistula other than a cancer or something terrible. Any more advice about possibilities, and what could be poking my penis would be appreciated.

So, not a question, but a follow up to my original question, and just an FYI. It turned out she had a rotten tampon stuck inside of her. That was causing the terrible odor, and that is what my penis was poking/shoving inside of her. All fears have been assuaged. Thank you for the advice.
