Detailed Answer:
Hello!
Welcome to Ask a Doctor service!
I understand your concern and would explain that an intense heartbeat could be related to different possible physiological situations: anxiety, physical activity, caffeine intake , etc.
Is the heartbeat regular? What's its frequency?
I would like to know more about your age and past medical history.
In the meantime, I would recommend trying to close your eyes and take some deep breaths.
If your heartbeat is irregular, or you are feeling shortness of breath or fainting, going to the ER may be necessary in order to perform a resting ECG and some blood lab test ( complete blood count, blood electrolytes, thyroid hormone levels).
Hope to have been helpful to you!
I remain at your disposal for any further questions whenever you need!
Kind regards,
Dr.Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist

Detailed Answer:
Hello again!
Thank you for the additional information!
As long as your heart rhythm is regular and not extremely high, there is no reason to panic.
In my opinion this is just anxiety, nothing serious!
Your recent performed tests in the ER are very reassuring that nothing serious is going on!
For this reason, I recommend trying to relax and take some deep breaths!
I am sure that you will feel better in half an hour!
There is no need to go to the ER!
Hope to have been helpful to you!
Kind regards,
Dr.Iliri
