Question: My husband (age 66 and otherwise in good health) just had prostate cancer surgery on Oct.1, 2020. His prostate was removed and he is currently recovery at home. Catheter will be removed Wed. Oct 15.
My concerns have to do with COVID and his recovery. We have a family wedding planned for Oct. 31 where there will be approximately 100 people in attendance. I am concerned about being around that many people, some of whom I fear will not wear masks at all times.
Should someone in this stage of recovery be exposed to this many people? (The wedding will be in Auburn, AL if that matters at all)
What would your medical advice be to someone in this situation. Thanks

Considering the fact that your husband is in a stage of recovery from major surgical procedure and he is being at high risk to acquire any infection I would suggest him not to attend social events where chances of carriers of Covid 19 attending can not be ruled out .
