My Husband Recently Had To See A GP For A
After having some blood Tests he was informed he was borderline Diabetic which needs to controlled by his diet.
He was also prescribed pain relief and two types of medication (Amitriptyline ) and ( Amlodlipine ) his symptoms have now become much worse affecting his mobility leaving him only able to walk with a walking stick, he can't put on his shoes or socks and only finds relief from pain when he is sat up. When he attempted to lie down the pain becomes much worse. Also he has no appetite and normally he has a very healthy appetite.
I am very concerned what to do next as he isn't improving.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for the query. I can understand your concern. According to your statement, your husband has border line diabetes and now has been suffering from inability of walking due to circulatory problem.
Circulatory disorders, particularly blocked arteries, commonly occur in the lower extremities of people with diabetes. If blood supply is severely impaired, ulcers can occur even in the absence of injury.
A lack of blood supply to the leg muscles can also lead to pain in the legs when walking, which typically comes on after walking a certain distance and is released by rest. This is known as intermittent claudication.
Strictly control of blood sugar, managing cholesterol levels, exercising regularly, avoiding smoking and alcohol, treating high blood pressure, if present and weight reduction etc may help to improve his motility.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
