Brief Answer:
The level of calcium is slightly elevated, you should not be worried.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear and welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

I understand your concern.

Normal level of calcium is 8.5 to 10.3 milligrams per deciliter.

Your husband calcium level is slightly elevated.

There are many medical conditions that can cause high calcium level.

Some other examinations are needed to confirm the diagnosis.

I would recommend the following examinations:

-thyroid hormone level

-vitamin D level

-Phosphorous level

-bone mineral density test to measure how many grams of calcium are into a segment of bone.

-a urinalysis to check for kidney function

Meanwhile, I suggest you not to worry, this level of calcium is not dangerous.

It should be maintained under control through examinations.

Diet is also very important. I recommend drinking a lot of liquids, and eat a healthy diet with normal amount of calcium.

I also recommend medications such as statins in case that cholesterol level is not maintained under control through diet.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further

Brief Answer:
The levels which you have are mildly raised so do not panic.

Detailed Answer:
Hi again dear,

Normal protein range varies between 6.4 and 8.3 grams per deciliter.

The results in your husband's case are slightly elevated, not much on the higher side though.

The levels which you have are mildly raised so do not panic.

There are many medical conditions that cause these results such as chronic inflammation, dehydration etc.

I recommend doing the examinations that I suggested above for further evaluation.

Take care dear,

dr.Dorina Gurabardhi
