Brief Answer:
Impacted cerumen in the ear

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thanks for posting the query

The ear clogging is either due to accumulation of the cerumen in the external auditory canal or the block in the tube connecting nose and the ear. The long standing ear clogging usually goes in favour of impacted cerumen.

Presence of ear cerumen blocks the external auditory canal. This impedes the sounds reaching eardrum. When some liquid enters the ear canal either while bathing or during swimming, the cerumen swells up and block gets worsened. You can try using wax solvents for a couple of days, and visit your doctor for a thorough examination and management.

Hope this answers your query; revert back to me if you have any follow-up queries.
