My Left Inner Thigh Muscle Is Tugging Painfully Against My

default
Posted on Mon, 22 Jun 2020
Question: My left inner thigh muscle is tugging painfully against my pubic bone. I had back surgery 6 months ago have spent a lot of time in bed on my back with my legs propped up. The neurosurgeons have ruled out any spine issues that might be responsible. I have a 6 inch vertical scar to the left of my belly button. Is my problem simply a question of weak muscles that need to be strengthened? Is the scar somehow contributing? I'm very sensitive to the hardness of my bed (I use a sleep number set at 95). If I change the hardness of the bed, I experience even more pain in my body. Sometimes the tugging shifts to the muscles attached to my sits bones and they will burn. I've been to may doctors and health care practitioners. No one has been able to provide any useful help to turn this around. I can't lie flat on a bed for an extended period of time.

Brief Answer:
Muscle atrophy related, physiotherapy needed.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, welcome to Ask a doctor's service.
I read your query and here is my advice.
I don't think this can be related to any neurological issues. I suppose the opinion of the neurosurgeon that thi is not related to
the surgery. I also don't think that this can be related to scar .
I think this is related to the recovering process.
Having been in bed for long will legs propped and being inactive may have contributed to muscle atrophy and this happened soon after you increased movement.
I think physical therapy is the only solution. I believe that water exercising may work better on strengthening the muscles without causing much pain and stress on spine.

Hope I have answered the question.
