Question: My left nipple began peeling Alot 10 days ago while the right breasr was only slightly dry. The left breast even had an oozing crack. since then ive been using a cream for inching and its been healing. I saw a obgyn who has checked it and said it seamed superficial. im still scared because the overall breast still burns a bit and i keep seeing that Pagets disease hs all the same symptoms and doctors often overlook them. ive stopped using the cream after a week and its dry again but not peeling yet and it doesn%E2%80%99t itch. When should I go back to the doctor or stop using the cream if it is exczema? when should i begin to worry about my symptoms?

Brief Answer:
Any chronic eczema of nipple areola should raise suspicion

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for your query.

Pagets disease of breast usually presents like chronic dermatitis (eczema) of the nipple or areola.
Clinical signs may be indistinguishable between the two. If the history is short, like in you, possibility of pagets is low as it is an extremely rare diagnosis.

However, if the duration is longer, say more than a month, then I would recommend a dermatologist consultation with possible biopsy to rule out Pagets disease.

Hope this helps,
Regards
