Question: My loved one has a health condition that I fear might take her life before the end of the year. I just want her to be comfortable while she sleeps and I don’t want her to take the Sleep Apnea IN- LAB test. So we opted out and took the IN-HOME test if I put on the hardware will it show the opposite gender for the results? r question here...

Brief Answer:
You need to enter all the datas in the machine first.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your question on Ask a doctor forum.
I can understand your concern.
For tests, you need to first enter all the datas in the machine like age, sex, height, weight, race, smoking habit etc.
This depends on machine to machine.
Once you enter all the information, machine will automatically set accordingly and give results accordingly.
So no need to worry for opposite gender and other things.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wishing good health to your partner. Thanks.

Thank you that means allot! To be clear the doctor will have no idea that i took the test and not my spouse? as long as i use the machine correctly.

Brief Answer:
If you do so, you are not helping your spouse's health.

Thanks for your follow up question on Ask a doctor forum.

My only question is why will you do that?
By doing so you are not helping your spouse's health, neither the doctor.
Hope I have solved your query.
