
My Mom Got Allergic Reaction For Ceftriaxone (rocehine). She Had

Question: My mom got allergic reaction for ceftriaxone (rocehine). She had Quincke's edema and it was treated with adrenaline and prednisone. But she still has allergic laryngotracheitis and rhinitis. The whole body is covered with a rash like hives. Prednisone caused 3 stomach ulcers. They stopped treating her with prednisone and now her treatment is chloropyramine and sodium thiosulfate. But it has been already 7 days and she is not getting better

Hii. Please consult an Ent surgeon and a physician. It seem that she is suffering from gross allergic reaction. It needs through evaluation by ent surgeon, physician and if needed dermatologist. It will be unfair to comment on the patient health from far away without seeing her. But maintain prefer hydration and make sure she didn't get into sepsis. Maintain proper hygiene and sterilization. I think it will resolve over time slowly.
