Brief Answer:
She needs admission in a hospital and brain infection ruled out.

Detailed Answer:
Hello Keeshia,

Thank you for the query and welcome to Ask a Doctor service.

I have studied the query carefully and understand your concern.

The most likely cause based on the description of the symptoms is meningeal infection.

It could be bacterial or viral infection.

It can be diagnosed by doing a CSF analysis.

Your mother does need ICU admission for proper diagnosis and management.

Please discuss meningitis with your doctors, CT scan may appear normal in meningitis.

I hope this information will be of help.

I hope your mother recovers completely very soon.
