My Mom Is 82 And Had Notnhad A Bowel Movement
Question: My mom is 82 and had notnhad a bowel movement for 5 days- eventually on the 6th day she passed stools , 2 medium size stools- they seemed hard - its been 2 days and has not had a bowel movement again. in addition, she has thrown up- what seems like saliva (clear) and has abdominal pain and back pain.

I’m sorry to hear that your mom is not feeling well. From what you describe it is possible that she may be experiencing intermittent intestinal obstruction.
If she has abdominal pain with continued nausea and or vomiting I would recommend that you consider bringing her to Lokal emergency Department for immediate evaluation. The doctors in the emergency room can’t perform simple examination and simple imaging to determine if you might have some type of obstruction.
