Question: My mother aged 88 was having lot of cough and sputum and nasal congestion and discharge and sneezing. She used to get sudden bouts of sneezing normally but last week the frequencey increased, Since she pinpointed her irritation in throat we went to an ENT specialist who after examination advised Lorfast 1 at night, Cepaderm 200 twice a day, Syp Soventus all for 5 days. We also consulted a GP same day 3 days back who said her lower chest is clear. Now she is into 3rd day of medications While the nasal congestion has reduced she is now having heavy cough and thicker mucous but coughing has reduced but she says cough is coming from deep stomach whereas it used to come from top level before. Is this normal. Should we need any further advise.
