Brief Answer:
Visit a psychiatrist for help

Detailed Answer:
Hello thanks for using ask a doctor service

Dear it becomes difficult sometimes for caregivers of schizophrenia or any psychotic illness when patients refuse to trust them and refuse to take medicines.

If she is in psychosis and is not taking medicines or refuses to visit a psychiatrist then in that case you can visit a psychiatrist and explain her symptoms. If you are her primary caregiver then for some time they can prescribe medicines for her which can help in reducing her symptoms. Once she becomes better then you can take her for evaluation.

Medicines like Olanzapine or Risperidone can be used on psychosis which are available in odourless and tasteless preparations. Long acting injections can be kept in options too. Haloperidol or Risperidone are available in long acting forms and can be used in her.

You can discuss about this with her psychiatrist.

Thanks
