Detailed Answer:
Hello!
Welcome to Ask a Doctor service!
I understand your concern and would explain that her blood pressure values are above the normal ranges.
For this reason, I would recommend increasing the dose of amlodipine ( up to 10mg daily if she is taking a lowe dose) or add another antihypertensive drug to her current therapy in order to help lower blood pressure values.
In this regard, I would recommend adding an ACEI (lisinopril, ramipril) or an ARB ( valsartan, olmesartan)
You should discuss with her doctor on the above treatment options.
I would also recommend reducing salt intake.
Hope you will find this answer helpful!
I remain at your disposal for any further questions whenever you need!
Kind regards,
Dr.Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
