My Mother Suffers From Severe Lower Bowel Pain During The

Question: My mother suffers from severe lower bowel pain during the night that requires visits to the bathroom for bowel movement. She has tried multiple medications from various MD's who should be knowledgable about how to eliminate/reduce the problem with no success. Only action that seems to have helped somewhat is her current diet (which is inadequate and resulting in weight loss---she weights---my best estimate---around 100 pounds), some morning nibbles at toast or small breakfast biscuit, and afternoon bland soup and crackers. Anything else, seems to bring on her nighttime cramps in her lower intestine which can be intense and of some duration. Aside from a possible variety of lower intestinal conditions----none of which have responded to medication of differing diets----she 'heard' that the difficulties might be pancreatic related...something that none of her doctors spoke about or apparently considered. Any thoughts?

Brief Answer:
Seems like IBS but please send her lab reports for confirmation

Detailed Answer:
Hello

I have gone through the medical history of your mother and I can say her symptoms seem like IBS (irritable bowel syndrome).

To make her mind put in peace as she is thinking about pancreatic malfunction, I need to analyze all her blood work, plus need to see her colonoscopy report or other examination reports.
In this way I could help your mother better.

Sometimes, taking pancreatic enzymes will stabilize the symptoms, but first need to confirm the diagnosis.

Can you please send all these reports to me if you have them?

Thank you
