Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for choosing "Ask a Doctor" service on this forum for your query,
I have gone through the report of endoscopy attached,
Unforunately your niece is suffering from severe inflammation of stomach and duodenum(a part of small intestine) and this inflammation in her case is caused by a bacteria called H.pylori.
Our gut internally is lined by a soft layer of mucous membrane called mucosa. In gastritis the wall of the stomach gets inflamed while in duodenitis the wall of duodenum gets inflamed causing severe pain and loss of appetite.
Her treatment includes complete course of antibiotic aimed at eradicating H.Pylori bacteria.
It consist of use of double to triple antibiotic along with antacid(proton pump inhibitor) for 21 days followed by long term use of proton pump inhibitor(antacid).
Usually regimen used is-
Tab Amoxycillin 1000mg twice daily
Tab Clarithromicin 500mg twice daily
Tab Metronidazole 800mg thrice
Capsule Rabeprazole once daily.
However there are many types of regimens and treatment and choice of antibiotics depends strictly on the doctor treating it primarily.
You need to get a prescription for the same from your gastroenterologist.
Once cured her appetite would return back and pain will go away.
Hope i was helpful and easy to understand,
Follow ups are welcome,
Wish her an early recovery.
Thanks!
