Brief Answer:
Can be a hormonal abnormality.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The light bleeding during the periods can be due to a hormonal disturbance may be associated with polycystic ovaries.
You need to have a few investigations like prolactin levels, thyroid profile, LH and FSH levels, ultrasound scan, etc. This will help in proper diagnosis. Do consult a gynecologist for the same.
Hope this answer is helpful.
