My Primary Symptom Is Pain On My Left Hip/flank Area
Question: My primary symptom is pain on my left hip/flank area radiating into my back. I went to the doctor yesterday for croupy cough with slight headache. I had no fever. Was given meds for tickle in throat and told to rest. Besides the left flank pain, I am fatigued, still have slight cough and sore throat. Two incidences of unexpected and explosive diarrhea.
Brief Answer:
Probably the symptoms are related to a viral infection.

Your symptoms seem to be related to a viral infection.
I recommend using an over the counter medication to treat diarrhea such as Imodium.

The pain on the hip radiating to the back can be related to a muscular pain.
I recommend to use an anti-inflammatory medication such as Ibuprofen 400 mg three tablets a day.
