My Question Is Could This Be Liver Pain?
Question: Hello, on March 3rd I had my liver evaluated. I had shear wave elastography done and the median result was 6.75 kPa which placed me in the F2 fibrosis category. Just barely as some readings were still in the F1 range. Also the ultrasound saw no changes to my liver, only the elastography picked up the changes. Additionally, I had liver function bloodwork that was all normal. The gastro didn’t seem worried, didn’t even want to schedule a follow up. Just told to moderate alcohol a bit better and lose some weight.
Since then, I’ve dramatically cut back on alcohol limited myself to weekends and/or social events only. I’ve also lost about 15 pounds, intentionally, as I’ve cut out a lot of alcohol and started eating much better.
But last weekend, probably starting Friday April 16th I started getting this pain in the upper right quadrant of my stomach. It’s just below my rib cage and it also hurts to touch. However the pain does kind of move around the upper right quadrant and the painful areas are not always the same spot. Sometimes it hurts with movement. It’s not necessarily a dull ache like I’ve seen liver pain described online, it’s almost like a crampy sharp pain, it’s tender. I can probably take and attach a picture pointing to the most common pain areas I’m experiencing.
The pain does go to my back sometimes. Sometimes it’s the lower right side of my back, sometimes it’s in my shoulder blade. The shoulder blade pain is very outside almost to my armpit and also is tender to the touch.
Coincidentally, this did seem to come with a change in bowel patterns. I have felt a little more constipated, and bowel movements don’t necessarily feel complete.
My question is could this be liver pain? I feel like my liver blood work was normal and the elastography did not show a lot of damage so I’m hoping that this unlikely to be liver pain but want to see what an expert thinks.

Brief Answer:
Musculoskeletal pain.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Have seen your details,
No the pain is not at all related to you liver rather the presentation is very specific of musculoskeletal pain or pain due to gastritis.
I would suggest you to take a ibuprofen tablet and see if pain responds to it.
Thanks!
