My Question Pertains To BPPV. In Feb Of 2015, I
Question: My question pertains to BPPV. In Feb of 2015, I was doing some self defense training which consisted of me being spun around for 20 to 30 seconds. Shortly after that I would become slightly dizzy off and on and in May of 2016, I woke up extremely dizzy and would get dizzy upon movement. I thought it may be an ear infection until I went to the Urgent Care and was told it was most likely BPPV. I get dizzy for months and then nothing and then again I'll get dizzy for a while and then nothing etc... Could this have been caused by the excessive spinning?

3. You need to undergo VNG (VideoNystagmoGraphy), VHIT (Video Head Impulse Test) among other routine examination tests (such as the Dix Hallpike test, tests for nystagmus)
4. Maneuvers under expert guidance will definitely help in BPPV. Meneuvers attempted on your own are known to cause the particles to shift to multiple semicircular canals, causing further problems in recovery.
5. BPPV is common and curable. Other causes for dizziness should be ruled out by direct examination by a local neurotologist.

Thank you for the information. I cant do the maneuver as it makes me extremely dizzy and nauses when my head is placed in those positions.
