My Right Foot Has Been Sore To Walk On And
Question: My right foot has been sore to walk on and looks swollen.. I do not remember injuring it.. I have been walking more and when I get started walking it does not seem to bother me as much..it seem to be on the top part of my foot that hurts the most by my right outside ankle.. did I sprain it without knowing it? I have a pic of my two feet to show the difference in the swelling..there seems to be a pocket a fluid in front of the ankle.. what caused this?
Brief Answer:
Probably strained ligaments
Detailed Answer:
Dear Ma’am, I have gone through your question and I understand your concerns but it seems that you have sprained your ankle ligaments.. however, I would recommend that you get a plain X-ray of your foot to exclude any additional fractures or fissures. In the meanwhile you should rest as possible, elevate your leg and take the following medications: declofenac every eight hours and vitamin b12 every 12 hours. Also you should apply an anti-inflammatory gel every eight hours such as voltaren gel. I hope you find this helpful..

Can I still exercise on the bike or elliptical? What about icing it for ithe inflammation? How long does it take to go back to normal? I appreciate you.. thanks so much!
Also is there another name for an aniinflammatory cream? Can I use bio freeze?
Brief Answer:
No
Detailed Answer:
Dear Ma’am, hello again.. No you should not exercise on the bike or the elliptical.. you need complete rest for the inflammation to resolve and to heal faster. bio freeze is only an an analgesic with no anti-inflammatory action so it is not recommended.. it might take from 2 weeks to 2 months to get back to normal.. I hope you find this helpful
