My Son (17) Has Been Complaining About His Legs Feeling

Question: My son (17) has been complaining about his legs feeling extremely tired and weak over the last couple of months. He took off from his sports from 5 days and he's been going to a physical Therapist for the last 3 weeks. This feeling persists. We can't seem to figure out what's going on. He's been drinking a lot of water and his urine is almost completely clear. Could you please tell me so things that I should have the doctors check him for? It's frustration and scary because we don't know what's going on.

Brief Answer:
Please see below.

Detailed Answer:
Hi I am Dr Gopal Goel Orthopedic Surgeon.
I have read the details as described by you.
In my opinion this problem occurs usually due to pressure on the nerves in spine leading to pain ,weakness and feeling of tiredness . This feeling could also occur if there is type I diabetes or vitamin B12 deficiency.
I suggest blood sugar Fasting and post prandial ,, HBA1c , S vitamin B12, Urine R/M + MRI of L-S Spine ASAP as primary investigations.
The treatment will depend on the reports , but usually the prognosis is good.
Thanks for the question. Please feel free to ask any other question.
