Brief Answer:
Viral fever will be a possible cause.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
It can be a viral infection probably viral fever.
As of now drink plenty of water to keep him hydrated and take rest.
If he is having fever or pain, over the counter available drugs like paracetamol can be given. If there no nausea or vomiting, antacids/antiemetic combination like pantoprazole-domperidone can be given.
If the symptoms persist or in case of long-lasting vomiting, other causes like hepatitis or gastroenteritis must be ruled out.
Generally, it will settle by itself in a couple of days.
