Question: My son is 25 and in really good health. He cannot stop urinating and found out his prostate is enlarged (today) by a doctor. All blood and urine labs are normal. He is being referred to a urologist next week. He has had some nausea and fatigue. He was diagnosed with IBS in high school but that problem has been dormant for years. Any ideas?

Brief Answer:
Probably benign prostatic hyperplasia

Detailed Answer:
Dear parent, I have gone through your question and I understand your concerns but if the imaging report suggests a benign prostatic hyperplasia then no need to worry as this condition improves fairy well with alpha blockers or non invasive procedures using laser or microwave therapy. However, the urologist might recommend a biopsy to confirm the diagnosis and to exclude any malignant growth. I hope you find this helpful
