Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to Ask A Doctor service.
I have read your query and here is my advise.

* As per my surgical experience, the dog bite wound of 1 inch size needs particular
medical attention immediately.

- Thoroughly wash the area with clean tap water.
- Apply sterile dressing with gauze piece and polymycin ointment if available immediately
otherwise ice application also helps a lot.
- Syrup of ibuprofen with paracetamol for immediate relief of pain.
- Contact his primary care provider for the need of rabies vaccination ( as per the
previous vaccination status ) , antibiotics to manage the issue best possible manner.

Wish him best recovery.
Regards.
