Question: My thumbs are painful...feels like the muscles are strained....is it possible to strain thumb muscles evenly. thought it might be walking my new puppy, but I usually walk him with my left hand.

The reason for pain and soreness in both thumbs, unrelated to injury, maybe arthritis and in some cases, carpal tunnel syndrome. You can use ice packs on the thumbs 5-15 minutes many times per day, as well as Tylenol or Advil to decrease pain and inflammation.
