My Tooth 12 Has Been Treated Root Canal On Sept.

Question: My tooth 12 has been treated root canal on Sept. 24, 2018 but it still sore and unable to use.
The dentist told me that he pushed the gum in around the tooth ( I have never heard this before) and the gum around it also sore and swollen esp. inside of the mouth.
Because this I use right side of teeth to cue the food, and one molar started giving pain.
I am not able to bite or cue the food properly. This is very much of stress.
I went to see the dentist three times for this. He says the tooth 12 he fixed is O.K. but it looks porous inside on CT scan. Of course I don't know much about it. However, my other teeth crowned did not give me any pain nor sore after treated. I could use them the following day. And they have been more than 30-40 years (they were done in Japan). But is tooth 12 gives me sore and unable to use after 3 weeks. I suspect the dentist did not do well. Why did he have to push the gum in around the tooth? This also causes pain and sore, irritation.

He told me that anther tooth 14 got bacteria infection up inside (he showed me CT scan) on Sept. 12. He prescribed anti biotic Penicillin Vk 250mg and I took this for 7 days. He referred to another specialist for this tooth

Since another specialist's appointment in on Oct. 17. He prescribe another biotic Amox/K Clav 875-125mg on Oct. 30. But this gave me side effects, acid in mouth, eye irritation and pain ( I have having eye problem) and I could not stand acid in my mouth and eye irritation, I cut the one tablet in half and took 4 days, and stopped taking altogether. Is this make thing worse? I did not take it yesterday and this morning today. Or should I take it ? The appointment with another dentist specialist is Oct. 17 . Can I wait for 3 days and consult the specialist?

Please advise.

Thanking you in advance XXXXXXX

Brief Answer:
Take medicines and meet specialist

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
First of all, thank you for approaching us with your query.
I read through your query.

First of all, I must say that if the infection is there on 14th it can cause pain on 12 also(as both are supplied by same nerve). So for reaching a conclusion regarding that, we may have to take an X-ray and see.

Next, regarding medicine take an antibiotic (amoxicillin) and take an anti-inflammatory and also omeprazole (for reducing gastric reaction following medication).

Also, take lots of water and green leafy vegetables to reduce oral reactions. Do hot salt water gargle especially concentrating on 12 and 14 thrice daily.
Afterwards, please meet the specialist on the appointment.

Hope you got my point.
Thank you and have a healthy day
