My Wife Had A Filling On The Upper Left Side

Question: My wife had a filling on the upper left side ( I think number 7 teeth). Now , there is a slight cavity between that teeth and the teeth in front, causing food to get stuck. This situation has existed for a month and gradually worsened. We got X rays taken 7 days ago from a local clinic. But due to Coronoavirus concerns we have not visited our regular dentist in the hospital . There has been one off pain in that tooth ( not present most of the time) . However as there is already a filling on this teeth, will a filling sustain, or do we need a root canal ? Including picture and x rays.

Sorry I think the picture and x rays of the tooth are uploaded now. Our goal is to minimize visits during the Coronavirus epidemic, say till Nov/ Dec.

Proximal caries ,not so deep, tooth can be restored.

I have reviewed the photo and xray you have attached. As far as i have observed you have proximal caries in between teeth which is not so deep. Tooth can be restored with restoration .Pain is due to food lodgement in cavity. So if caries doesn't progress in 2-3 months then Restoration can be done without root canal treatment.
So consult your dentist for treatment after epidemic and go for treatment.
