My Wife Has Almost Constant Ringing In The Ears Since

Question: My wife has almost constant ringing in the ears since TMJ surgery over a year ago. The surgery threw off her bite so she had to get braces so I'm sure that doesn't help with the ringing. Is there anything she can try to minimize or eliminate the ringing? Thanks.

Hii. Please get a audiometry and nasal endoscopy done to see the hearing status and back of the throat. If it came to be normal then this ringing sensation is due to TM joint problems or due to eustachian tube dysfunction. In that case there is no treatment for tinnitus. You can start vitamin tablet neurobion forte to strengthen the strength of the nerve. But the main remedy is you have to ignore the sound. Avoid noise free environment. Switch on radio in low volume or fan while sleeping. You have to avoid excessive tea coffee salt. Relax and lead a stress free life. It will slowly decrease with time but there is no permanent remesy for it. Review if you have any queries.
