My Wife Is 8 Weeks Pregnant. She Has PCOD Since
Question: My wife is 8 weeks pregnant. She has PCOD since 5 years and was taking crimson 35 since 3 years. In April 2018 she stopped that tablet and took Ayurvedic treatment. Her period’s cycle was of 55 days.
As last period date was 23 September and as per sonography report the conception date is 25th October. She is 24 Years old and she’ll be 25 in coming February. Im 29 year old.
We were going to plan pregnancy in November 2019, but we took a chance this year since we were convinced that it would take us time due to PCOD. We didn’t expect but surprisingly she got pregnant in October.
We did blood test as advised and everything came out normal. B12 and vit D3 were deficient.
Following are my questions:

Thanks for your reply. I have few other questions. 1. My wife has lot of PCOD related acne. Will these acne go away after pregnancy? When she was taking crimson 35 her face was clear. Acne have started to appear right when she stopped taking that pill. Acne affects her confidence and she doesn't like to go out in public places. 2. Is it okay to continue having physical relation during her pregnancy. If yes, then until when? Is protection (condom) required? and why? Explain in detail. 3. What affects child's health in the womb? What should we do so that our coming child is healthy? 4. What factors decide if Cesarean is required or not? How do we make sure that she delivers normally? 5. What are the complications during pregnancy for PCOD patients? How to we avoid them? Is there any other scanning or test required? 6. Gynac. adviced metformin for PCOD but we refused to take it since we didn't consider it safe. What are the side-effects of metformin? Are there any benefits? Or is it best not to take it? 7. Dear Doctor, Thanks for your reply. my wife is not over weight. And she has never smoked and drinks minor quantities, once in 4-5 months. This brings me to another question when I though about it. Due to PCOD her periods were irregular and normal cycle was of 55 days. Due to which we came to know about her pregnancy at 7 weeks and 2 days (As per sonography report) My question is how exact is sonography report in finding out age of featus or the date of conception. If the sonography date is held correct then in the 3rd week we went to Goa where she drank 1 large tin of beer (500ml) only once. This happened since we weren't aware of her pregnancy. During this time we travelled to Goa for 5 days in car. Also she travelled in bus to XXXXXXX 800kms total. 1. Will the drinking episode affect childs health in any way. Mental or physical health. If it has affected is there any way to find it out? We forgot to mention this to gynac. And we will tell her during next visit. I am really concerned about it. 2. How does travelling affect pregnancy.
