Question: My wife is experiencing issues after taking Norethindrone.
She took it for about 5 days and stopped on 07/23 (11am) as she was experiencing pain/tingling throughout her body.
She had a spike in her heart rate (160) on 07/23 and had head pain, chest pain, and pain/tingling throughout extremities so we went to the ED which was around 7pm that day (07/23). They gave her steroids and benadryl and did an xray, CT, urine test, bloodwork...everything came back fine. She's been on benadryl about every 6-8 hours, and symptoms aren't getting better, except for head pain which has resolved and heart rate has not spiked anymore. The extremity pain and tingling remains, as does lethargy but she's unsure if that's due to the constant pain wearing her down and is able to get up whenever she needs (bathroom, etc). She also has a new symptom, slight swelling in face, but no respiration issues and heart rate/O2 remain fine. All of the non emergency doctor offices are closed until Monday, and we're hesitant about urgent care due to COVID risk and we have a high risk child. Also, we have a full workup showing she's "fine" so not sure what urgent care would even do except repeat tests. She's basically been in mostly the same bad state since 07/23 (and her dose that day was only 2.5mg) and this seems to be going on too long. But maybe this can be expected? Is this something that should just resolve and it's just going to be terrible for a bit, or do we need to take some kind of action? Any guidance is appreciated. Thank you
