My Wife Is In 2nd Trimester And 1st Week She Also Has 10cm Ovarian Endometrium Cyst Past Two Days She Is Having Lite Lower Abdominal Pain Can U Please Advise Us?
More likely to be due to pressure effect.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for sharing your health concern with us.
From your description of the symptom, I think the more likely cause is the pressure effect. As the uterus enlarges and becomes an abdominal organ, pressure is exerted and this can lead to dragging pain of the ligaments that support the uterus. Retention of urine also can lead to pressure and hence the pain. Pain from the cyst is more severe, continuous and may be enhanced by exertion.
I would suggest a sonogram of the pelvis if none was done or the previous sonogram was more than a month ago. This will help to see if the cyst has grown, if at all. Though this is not likely with a chocolate cyst in pregnancy, enhanced vascularity due to pregnancy can sometimes lead to pressure symptoms.
Hope I have clarified your query. Please fell free to contact for further information. i will be happy to help.

We have got Ultrasound done in the last week only. Baby growth is perfectly fine as per that. It showed cyst has grown but doctor already indicated us during initial months cyst may grow because of hormonal changes. There is no pain because of that because its on left side. Also its not a continuous pain.
What can I do to reduce pressure, we have an appointment with doctor this coming Friday. We will surely not retain any urine , I am asking her go for toilet as soon as urge to pee is felt.
Please see your consultant as scheduled.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for writing back.
It is good that the pregnancy is progressing well. In the current scenario, the cyst needs only to be monitored periodically.
Pressure symptoms usually abate once the uterus grows out of the pelvis. Some precautions that can be taken are frequent emptying of bladder, avoiding constipation, avoiding travel and exertion including intercourse, taking small, frequent, easily digestible meals and adequate bed rest.
Please go ahead with the scheduled visit to your consultant. However, if the pain increases or becomes bothersome, please see your doctor immediately.
Hope I have answered your query. Please get back if you need anything else. I will be ready to help.

Small, frequent and easily digestible - any diet plan that you can suggest please
Detailed below.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for writing again.
The intake of food depends on what she prefers at this stage, what she needs to eat and what she can digest.
I cannot offer you a strict diet plan because I am not a dietician, but you can go like this.
1. As she wakes up, some fresh fruit, fruit juice or a glass of milk with added protein.
2. A couple of hours later, breakfast should be given. This can comprise boiled eggs, toast, roti, dosa, idli etc., with minimal oil. Overeating should be avoided.
3. A mid-morning snack after another couple of hours comprising some fruits or nuts is better.
4. Lunch should comprise preferably boiled and cooked vegetables and milk products. Avoid spicy and fried foods. Intake of sufficient fiber is necessary to prevent constipation. Rice or wheat, as preferred, can be taken.
5. Another mid-evening snack again with some fruits, nuts or juice.
6. Early dinner, preferably light.
7.A glass of lukewarm milk at bed.
Hope I have helped.
Wish you good health.

Shanti.V.
We will follow accordingly.
Today morning, accidentally, a camphor tablet which we use at XXXXXXX went in cooking of rice. She ate two spoons of that rice and realized camphor smell and stopped it. When I googled , its written camphor is not to be consumed especially pregnant woman. I am worried, Please advice.
Please do not worry.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for sharing your health concern.
In the quantity consumed, there is nothing to worry. The amount of naphthalene is very less more so as most of it may have evaporated while cooking.
Ask her to take plenty of water to wash down any left. Please take care and I know you would, hereafter. Do mention about this to your consultant at your next visit.
Hope this helps.
