Brief Answer:
AKT is absolutely essential if there is convincing evidence of TB...

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

You been diagnosed as "Abdominal Tuberculosis". May I know how did the doctor arrive at this diagnosis? What tests were performed to confirm diagnosis.

If there is convincing evidence of abdominal tb, antitubercular drugs is absolutely essential even if pain persists. These medicines are not pain killers; but eventually over course of few months the pain should resolve. In the meantime, you can ask your doctor for a pain relieving agent either NSAID agent or dicyclomine or both based on the type / nature of pain.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you need clarifications.

Regards
