My Wife Would Like To Delay Her Periods For A
Question: My wife would like to delay her periods for a week due to our travel plans and need your suggestion on the medication to be used for the same. Her next due date is on 4th Nov, 2018. She has regular 28 days cycle. Please advice.

If your wife is not on any other contraceptive pill, then she can take NORETHISTERONE tablet as long as she wants to delay her period.
Dose: 5mg twice daily, commencing 3 days prior to due date. After stop taking that tablet, she will get a withdrawal bleeding like period within 5-7 days.
Some side effects like nausea, vomiting, abdominal cramp, irregular spotting, breast tenderness may develop in next cycle if she continues above medication for long time.
