Nasal Infection How To Get Cured?

I've tried:
1. Changing bed sheets more frequently.
2. Closing the windows in the night (I stay close to trees).
3. Staying home to rest for a few days.
Can you help?
It does seem allergy
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
This seems like allergy only. The mainstay of treatment is anti-allergics that control its symptoms temporarily. Anti-histaminics need to be taken as and when symptoms arise. You can chose an anti-histaminic of your choice depending on its side effects and its efficacy in your case. You can chose the one that causes long term control and least drowsy effect. No permanent cure as such.
But I can suggest a few basic tests that can help pinpoint the cause:
- Complete blood count
- culture and sensitivity of sputum - it will help detect any bacteria as possible cause
- Allergy panel test in which you can chose to test for allergens that you are suspecting. If any allergen is found, you need to stay away from it. In general, you need to stay away from polluted air.
This will help you give better control of your condition. You can revert back with the reports.
Thanks,
Dr Vaishalee

Thank you for your reply. I got a blood work done as part of my company's annual health checkup. I've attached relevant reports of the blood count - please let me know if any data is missing and I can try pulling it up.

I will try getting these done and following your suggestions.
Thanks again.
These tests suggest bacterial infection
Detailed Answer:
Hi again
The reports that you have uploaded are suggestive of infection. You can repeat the complete blood count from a different laboratory to confirm.
Lets confirm with tests of sputum culture and sensitivity and chest Xray PA view. If this is negative then allergy testing.
If there are trees nearby, then protect your self from bird droppings and pollen.
Thanks,
Dr Vaishalee.
