Neurontin Or Lyrica Would Be Of Any Help For Neurogenic Overactive Bladder

Question: Doctor, hi. Just a quick question since u know my long history with facial pains. Last couple of months, having an issue with bladder - feels inflamed, constant urgency with no urine, etc. Went to urologist and checked but nothing found amiss. He said it sounds like neurogenic overactive bladder and prescribed oxybutin which did not help. I'm sure you have dealt with this condition and wondering if either Neurontin or Lyrica would be of any help or any other med suggestion u may have. Thanks so much.

Brief Answer:
I would explain as follows.

Detailed Answer:
Hello again and thanks for the questions.

I have read your new question.

If there is thought to be a nerve dysfunction in the root of the bladder issues, I believe Lyrica and vitamin B complex supplements, should help.

Imaging the bladder also is necessary to exclude any bladder issues such as the thickening of the walls from an infection, for example.

Discuss with your Doctor these recommendations.

Hope this helps.
